Tube mills main flow process and machine performance characteristics
Butt welding
Tube mills butt welding is a process that weld the head and tail of steel coil strip, and match the loop accumulator, to maintain pipe welding section continuous operation. In advanced ERW tube mills group, the butt welder adopts slant seam form, so that the butt weld seam and vertical line of steel plate center line inclined at a certain angle. 
To do this: 
1, Increase the strength of butt welds seam, preventing cracking or pull off of butts; 
2, Reduce impact damage of butt welding seam on rollers. 
ERW tubemill line butt welding has methods of: CO2 gas shielded welding, submerged arc welder, flash welds, manual weld, manual arc welding. ERW tube making machine butt welding's band steel heads, tails cut by hydraulic shear, cutting method has up cut shear or down cutting trim, up and down cutting edge angle about 3°.
Tube mills accumulator loop 
Accumulator purpose is for continuous operation of tube forming. The storage band steel length is according to periodic and forming uncoiler butt welding , welding speed matching relation expression calculate as: L ≥ 1.05vt 
v=welding speed;
t=finish time from uncoiling to butt welding.

About the hopper form of accumulator, early traditional use horizontal and cage, but in nowadays has been gradually replaced by spiral loop accumulator. Spiral Looper accumulator can be subdivided into: Vertical accumulator and Horizontal accumulator loop.
